Canceling On A Locksmith – Not Nice!

Obviously the most common reason to call an emergency car locksmith is because you have locked your keys in your car or truck. There are other reasons also, but for now we will focus on locked keys in car. In the locksmith industry we call this a lock-out call and we offer lock-out services. You are locked out thus “lock-out call”. When you call is important, not what time of day but when you really need help right away. Many people call an emergency locksmith and “order” service which prompts the technician to stop what they are doing, prepare for the service call, get in their vehicle, GPS programmed and ready, then head your way, THEN after 15 minutes of driving to the call THE DREADED CALL COMES IN – “WE DONT NEED YOUR SERVICE ANYMORE, WE GOT IT OPENED WITH A SHOELACE, RUBBER MALLET, AND A RUSTY COAT HANGAR!” – All jokes aside we are happy you got in to it on your own and glad you saved money, BUT, you may have just cost a technician money and time that is very precious in life and business – he spent 20-30 minutes getting to you and then 20-30  minutes getting back to another possible job. That is an hour wasted that he could have been working on other jobs or generating new business or spending time with his family.

When to call is when you have completely exhausted all other options and DO NOT plan on trying to keep getting in to the car or truck. When all else fails call an emergency locksmith – Be fair and try not to waste their time!
