I locked my keys in the car – what should I do?
Well there are a few options and only one of the few will guarantee you get back in your car quickly without damage. That option is call a licensed experienced locksmith. A lot can go wrong when you (or someone untrained try to unlock a car without the proper tools or key/Fob). Do not stick a coat-hangar or jimmy down in to your door! This method is for old cars anyway and it can really cause some major damage to newer vehicles. I have been a locksmith for 15 years and have never used a slim jim jimmy to open a car or truck door. I use industry standard and approved tools to unlock locked cars as a locksmith.
Do not pry open your door with a metal tool of any type YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR and cause serious damage. We use a very special ans specific type of wedge to open doors slightly in order to use our special lock manipulation tools. We use non-marring material. Coat hangars are no good anymore they are flimsy and will not help you. Sve time and money and just call a locksmith to unlock your car. Do not call cousin bubby or uncle jim (unless they are a locksmith) spend the $50 bucks or so and get a pro locksmith in Roanoke VA to help you.
