Who do you call when you lock your keys in your car? Many people assume if they call the police or fire department that they will come open their car for them. The fact is that police departments are not supposed to open your car for you in normal non life threatening or harmful circumstances. There is a liability issue and the police department and police officers are very busy keeping our streets as safe as possible and do not have time to play locksmith for everyone. Some smaller townships have sheriff offices that might let you in your car but in most cases they will not do it.Back in the 80’s and 90’s they used to do it all the time for people… things change and time changes everything.
